According to the most viewed videos of the year 2020 in India released by YouTube, the first episode of ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ is among the 10 most-watched videos in the country. Surprisingly, the video of the first episode of ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ also surpassed many Indian dramas, films, and songs.

The play ‘Ertugrul’ highlights Islamic history and culture which has been neglected by the local media and vehemently shunned in the West. Turkish dramas reflect its culture and are the country’s most well known cultural exports.
