The Chaudhry brothers had approached the Lahore High Court against the powers of the NAB chairman and took a stand in the petition that it is a political engineering institute.

The petition seeks that the NAB’s move to reopen its inquiry into assets in excess of its 19-year-old income be declared illegal. The petitioner stated that the Chairman NAB has ordered a re-investigation of the 19-year-old case against us and even before that the NAB had conducted a thorough investigation of assets in excess of income 19 years ago but failed.
