LAHORE: Prominent political leader from South Punjab and former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from Vehari Farah Manzoor Baloch Rind has joined Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid PML-Q after a meeting with Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema.
During the meeting, Baloch Rind announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). Pir Haroon Shah Khagga, Pir Salman Shah Khagga, Ghazanfar Ilyas Bandesha, Amjad Khan, Chaudhry Tanveer Sindhu, Abu Bakar Sindhu and Mujahid Zahid were also present on the occasion.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said, “The purpose of our politics is to eliminate the deprivations of South Punjab and resolve the issues of the people”. Special packages were given to remove the deprivations of South Punjab in PML-Q tenure, he added.
The PML-Q leader further said that the process of organization of the party was in progress in South Punjab to make the party dynamic and the activists with the spirit of public service would be brought forward.
In the meeting, Farah Manzoor said that he has joined the PML-Q after inspiring by the leadership skills and vision of the Chaudhry brothers.
“Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement is against the military and the motherland. We are patriotic people. That is why we have joined those who make the country and left those who break the country”, Farah Manzoor added.
He said the Punjab government had introduced several reforms for transforming the governance model and this has helped in the conspicuous improvements in government performance along with the accountability of the institutions.
Punjab was leading other provinces in transparency, merit and good governance and the foundation of a developed Punjab had been laid in two years, he added.
