ISLAMABAD: Chairman Coronavirus Task Force Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman has termed the second wave of the coronavirus across the country as more dangerous than the first.
Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman said that the current virus is somewhat different from the virus found in China. Currently, there is no solution other than precaution to prevent this epidemic.
Special Health Assistant Dr. Faisal Sultan said that if care was not taken, the situation in June would arise. He said that the chances of positive cases have increased to five percent due to the spread of the virus.
The first wave was dangerous, the current wave should be taken seriously. The only solution is to avoid the virus, he said. Coronavirus cases across the country are increasing with each passing day. The highest increase in positive cases was recorded in Muzaffarabad at more than 17 percent.

The rate of people infected with the deadly virus in Peshawar is more than 15 percent. The rate of global epidemic patients is more than 14 percent in Karachi and Hyderabad. Rawalpindi, Multan, and Mirpur recorded more than 10 percent positive cases.
Pakistan recorded 3,313 new COVID-19 cases and 54 deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours, making it the third consecutive day that over three thousand cases have been reported.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the total number of cases now currently stands at 389,311, whereas there are 45,533 active cases.
In the past 24 hours, 54 more people succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 7,897. A further 2,112 patients are in critical condition while 1,489 patients have recovered from the virus in the last day.
