Indian agencies sabotaging CPEC, supporting terrorism in Pakistan

MM News Staff by MM News Staff
November 19, 2020

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday presented a dossier containing details of India’s state-sponsored terrorism being carried out in Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference along with Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Babar Iftikhar at the Foreign Office, the foreign minister said he will present “irrefutable facts” before the nation and international community through this dossier.

The press conference comes a day after the ISPR said that the Pakistan Army inflicted substantial losses on Indian troops. It had also said that the losses were also reported by the Indian media and over 15 fifteen had been killed in the skirmishes.

He stated India was sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and is supporting terrorism in Pakistan. “India cannot tolerate Pakistan’s success against terrorism,” said the foreign minister. “Indian intelligence agencies are today supporting terrorist groups defeated and outlawed by Pakistan.”

He said Indian agencies have tried its best to fan terrorism across Pakistan and recent terrorist attacks in Quetta and Peshawar are the latest examples of such activities. He said Indian agencies through their subversive activities want to reverse Pakistan’s success against terrorism.

Qureshi warned that there will be an upsurge in terrorist activities in Pakistan and the focus will be on the major urban centres of the country.  He named Indian intelligence agencies, RAW and DIA, which are financing, training, and harbouring terrorists to create instability in Pakistan.

“You are seeing there is a pattern that they are constantly carrying out ceasefire violations,” said Qureshi, adding that the dossier has many details but some things are missing and will be used at the “time of need”. He said “The world knows that when Pakistan was busy and partnering in world peace, India was surrounding Pakistan with a web of terrorism,” said the foreign minister.

He added that New Delhi not only used its own soil but also made use of neighbouring countries to attack Pakistan. The foreign minister said that India used to claim itself as the world’s biggest democracy but had become a “rogue state” due to its actions.  “We have information and evidence on which we can say that India is promoting state terrorism,” said Qureshi. He added that India has developed a plan to destabilise Pakistan and wants to sabotage CPEC.

He said India is also not sparing any opportunity to destabilise Pakistan on the economic front which is evident from the fact that New Delhi tried its best to push Islamabad to the blacklist of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) when the entire world was appreciating Pakistan’s efforts to curb terrorism.

The foreign minister and the military spokesperson presented a dossier detailing India’s involvement in terror attacks in Pakistan. Multiple video clips and audio clips, along with documents, were presented of Indian handlers and terrorists communicating with each other and Indian intelligence handlers passing on instructions to terrorists in Pakistan.

Major General Babar Iftikhar, giving details of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan, said India embraced all terrorist organisations soon after they were defeated in Pakistan.

He said Indian intelligence agencies are trying to establish a consortium of terrorist organizations by unifying dissidents of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Army (BRA).

Elaborating further, he said an Indian intelligence officer Colonel Rajesh employed at Indian Embassy in Afghanistan is the master planner and a letter reveals that he has held four meetings with commanders of these terror outfits to synergise their efforts and upscale terrorist activities in metropolitan cities in November and December 2020.

He further said that India is trying to establish a linkage between Pakistan and the militant Islamic State (IS) by creating ‘Daesh-e-Pakistan’. He made it clear that Pakistan has the capacity to protect CPEC projects and has deployed two divisions of security personnel.

The spokesperson said India has provided funding worth Rs22 billion to terrorist organisations in the last three years. He said a cell under the direct supervision of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to sabotage China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said so far Rs80 billion rupees have been allocated and a militia of 700 people has been raised to disrupt CPEC projects.

He said India has also been providing weapons and ammunition to Altaf Hussain Group. He said weapons worth $0.62 million were provided to the group on one such occasion and the onfessional statement of Ajmal Pahari validates it. He said Indian intelligence agencies are managing 87 terrorist camps out of which 66 are located in Afghanistan whereas 21 are located in India.
