ISLAMABAD: A woman was sexually assaulted in front of her minor six-year-old son inside a car.
The woman named Kiran, who hails from Lahore came to the federal capital sixteen days ago to seek a job and brought her minor son Hasnain.
The victim Kiran narrated her ordeal and said a man named Rafaqat called and offered her a job. The woman was told to come to National Market Rawalpindi where a factory owner Raza Elahi offered her a job as his wife’s personal secretary at their home on a salary of Rs35,000.
The woman claimed that the environment was not conducive for work and she was visibly disturbed. The next day, Raza’s driver took her to his office located on the fourth floor of a building. She gave an interview after which her National Identity Card (NIC) was confiscated.
In the evening, Raza’s wife made the bizarre t and told her to hand over the child to them and she will be handsomely compensated. The woman was shocked and refused to work for them.
The following day, the woman escaped with her son, however, Rafaqat and Humayun called her on numerous occasions. On October 17, she was called to Raheem Plaza where both made her sit in a car and molested her.
According to the woman, she was groped and sexually assaulted by the two men in the vehicle. She also claimed that the men also kidnapped her minor son. A case was been lodged at a police station in Islamabad.
Five days later, the women’s son was recovered in Lahore after police interrogated Raza Elahi. The same night police released Raza and Rafaqat after being pressurised by higher officials. The woman has appealed for justice against sexual assault and strict punishment for the perpetrators.
