KARACHI: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi has denied any deadlock between traders and his organisation.
Chairperson of Federal Board of Revenue on Friday refuted any kind of deadlock between small traders and the board members. He used the famous microblogging site, Twitter, to pinout the news.
It was perceived earlier that small traders and FBR have locked horns, as the Anjuman-e-Tajiraan- had earlier stated in their statement that they will go on a protest march against the policies of Federal Board of Revenue.
The traders have complained that the FBR policies are discriminatory, they object FBR’s policies on imports, mandatory CNIC for purchasers and harassment of local business owners.
The chairman said on Friday that there is no deadlock between small traders and FBR. The traders are an integral and useful part of the economy. As a regulator of tax, they will accept all suggestions and recommendations placed by the trader community. If the made suggestions are in the interest of the economy and people of Pakistan.
As Chairman FBR I deny any deadlock between small traders and FBR. Traders are an integral and useful part of the economy. As a regulator of tax, we will accept all suggestions and recommendations placed by traders, which are in the interest of economy and the people of Pakistan.
