Novel coronavirus cases in the country have continued to decline in the past three weeks, a development the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan dubbed as the result of its successful anti-COVID-19 strategy.
However, health experts are dubious about the government’s claim, warning it is too early to declare victory against the virus that has already infected more than 263,000people across the country.
On Saturday, President Dr Arif Alvi had said that the government’s smart lockdown strategy led to the outstanding recovery of COVID-19 patients in the country.
On a social media website Tweeter, the President said that credit for this goes to pro-poor and intelligent government decisions and the people of Pakistan for mostly following directions and SOPs.
He also appreciated the nation’s recent approach to the COVID-19 pandemic and said “You have shown what a disciplined nation can do”.
A huge difference in approaches has led to outstanding recovery in Pakistan because of Smart Lockdowns.
Credit to pro-poor & intelligent government decisions and the people of Pakistan for mostly following directions & SOPs. Allah has put his برکت in our battle. https://t.co/ZLvD14YxFl
