KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s Adviser Murtaza Wahab said that the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has never read a book about the budget.
While talking to the media at a press conference, Murtaza Wahab criticized the provincial opposition, PTI, and said that the overall situation in Sindh had started deteriorating when the ‘PTI virus’ spread across the province.
“They ask about the budget but they do not know that the budget is divided into two parts,” Wahab said. “Half of the budget is for development and the other half is non-development,” he said.
“The biggest issue for Pakistan at the moment is a coronavirus,” he said by adding, “PTI leaders come on television to tell tall tales and then vanish.”
Wahab earlier announced that the provincial government had decided to build an infectious diseases hospital in Karachi. He said the hospital will be the first of its kind institute for infectious diseases in Pakistan.
He further said the hospital which will have a 400-bed, will soon be completed and opened for the public. He added that the facilities to treat coronavirus patients will also be installed at the hospital and around 100 ventilators will also be installed.
