Pakistan ready for any misadventure: DG ISPR Babar Iftikhar

RAWALPINDI: Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Babar Iftikhar has rejected Indian Army’s allegations that Pakistan Army was operating terrorist launch pads at the Line of Control as ‘baseless’ and ‘non-serious’.
DG ISPR in said that India’s violations across the LoC were rising with each passing day. “The situation at the LoC is turning serious,” he added.
Babar Iftikhar further said “The Indian leadership is making non-serious allegations against Pakistan,” he said. “India has its own satellites. Tell us, where is the proof of the launch pads?” he asked.
Recently, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Army Chief Gen MM Naravane and other officials have made numerous allegations that Pakistan has been operating terrorist launch pads from the Pakistani side of the LoC and attempting to infiltrate the border into the Indian side.
The DG ISPR invited international observers to pay a visit to the LoC to witness whether the Indian claims are true or not. He said that India was trying to blame Pakistan to conceal its internal problems.
Maj Gen Babar said that an American commission had highlighted how India was committing atrocities against its minorities.
Highlighting the Pakistan Army’s role in combating COVID-19 in the country, he said, “The main objective of the deployment of army soldiers is to enforce the provincial governments’ lockdown directives.”
Earlier, FO spokesperson Aisha Farooqui had called upon India to lift all communication restrictions in occupied Kashmir, withdraw “frivolous cases” against Kashmiri journalists and restore the fundamental freedom of the people of the occupied valley.
According to the spokesperson, the situation has become increasingly alarming since India’s “illegal and unilateral” actions on August 5, 2019, when it revoked the region’s special autonomy through a presidential decree.
