KARACHI: Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram has picked Naseem Shah, the young sensation, as his dream bowling pair among the current pacers.
In a video released by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today (Sunday), Wasim Akram said, “If I have to pick among current bowling stars, it will be a right-hander and it will be Naseem Shah.”
Commenting on Naseem’s abilities, Wasim Akram said, “He is young, fast, bowls at 150+, and has the ability to bowl much faster.”

The renowned fast bowler also picked two bowlers – Sarfraz Nawaz and Fazal Mahmood – as his dream bowling pair among retired pacers.
Wasim Akram said, “I’ve paired with the legend Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, the speedster Shoaib Akhtar, Abdul Razzaq, and all others.”
However, he said, “If I had to choose someone from the past it would be ‘Reverse swing’ inventor Sarfaraz Nawaz and hero of ‘The oval’ Fazal Mahmood.”
On the other hand, another young sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi has picked Wasim Akram as his dream bowling partner of all time.
