Australian opening batsman David Warner shaved his head off in order to show support towards paramedic staff battling coronavirus relentlessly on the frontline.
The left-handed batsman took to Instagram and shared a time-lapse video and captioned the post as: “Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline of COVID-19 here is a time-lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not.”

After shaving off his head, Warner posted a picture and also challenged his Australian teammates Steve Smith and Pat Cummins, along with Indian skipper Virat Kohli to do the same.
It is pertinent to mention here that major sports events in the world have been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
So far, coronavirus has claimed lives of more than 35,000 people and has affected more than 800,000 people around the globe. Earlier on March 11, World Health Organization (WHO) had declared coronavirus as a global pandemic.
