ISLAMABAD: The government has ordered to tighten the lockdown in all four provinces to further reduce the spread of coronavirus across the country.
In Sindh, shops will be open from 8 am to 5 pm today, while in Punjab, it has been decided to close all shops at 8 pm. However, medical stores have been allowed to be open around the clock until 10 pm.
The orders have been issued in order to limit the interaction of citizens. The Sindh government has issued more orders to make lockdown more effective and efficient.
In Punjab too, police have advised citizens to stay at their homes as more than 350 FIRs have been filed against those who violated the orders.
The coronavirus has killed 11 people in Pakistan. The Punjab province overtook Sindh’s coronavirus patient tally reached 490, taking the countrywide tally to 1,373 today.
The most populous province of the country confirmed 490 patients after more cases reported across the province. Sindh officially reported 441 patients including 20 new cases. With more new coronavirus confirmed patients in Pakistan, the tally jumped to 1,373.
