LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against hiked prices of surgical masks due to the two coronavirus disease.
Surgical masks play an important role in preventing the coronavirus, such marks were immediately short out of the market and their prices were increased.
The petitioner made the Punjab government and other concerned health department respondents. The prices of the masks hiked within hours after two cases of the coronavirus disease ere detected in Karachi last night.
Pakistan last night detected its first two cases of coronavirus days after Islamabad closed its land border with Iran, where 19 people have died from the virus.
The first positive case was reported in Karachi in a 22-year-old male with a history of travel to Iran where he has acquired the virus.
The virus has up till now spread to more than 30 countries, killing over 2,700 and infecting 80,000, mostly in China.
