RAWALPINDI: A citizen was martyred while another wounded after the Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along Line of Control (LoC) in the Chirikot sector.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian troops targeted the civilian population with heavy artillery and mortar shells.
In the result of ceasefire violation, a citizen named, Mir Muhammad, was killed and a woman was injured. She was shifted to the nearest medical facility.
Pakistan Army responded effectively targeting Indian check posts across the border.
Earlier on February 4, two women among four civilians were injured in Azad Jammu and Kashmir in a fresh ceasefire violation by Indian troops.
