KARACHI: Minister for Information in Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Inspector General (IG) Kaleem Imam needed to take a break.
While talking to media in Karachi today, Nasir Shah said that the matter of Kaleem Imam has been made controversial without any reason.
Nasir Shah said, “The matter of Sindh’s police chief would be resolved soon. But here I would like to mention that the federal government is adopting a discriminatory attitude towards provincial government.”
Shah added that the IG was a senior officer and he needed to take a break.
Earlier last month, Kaleem Imam also called on the prime minister in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Kaleem Imam briefed the premier regarding the law and order situation in Sindh province.
Earlier, the federal cabinet had delayed the appointment of a new police chief for Sindh after the government’s coalition parties expressed serious concerns over the decision.
