WASHINGTON: The United States has announced a reward of up to $20 million for individuals who provide significant and credible information about Iran’s nuclear programme. US authorities have also offered to relocate informants to a secure location, if necessary, to protect their identities and safety.
According to media reports, the offer has been made under the US Department of State’s Rewards for Justice programme, which aims to obtain valuable intelligence concerning Iran’s nuclear activities.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the reward offer on social media platform X on Friday, November 6, 2026. Details of the initiative have also been published on the official website of the US Department of State.
According to US authorities, information relating to Iran’s nuclear facilities, including undisclosed locations, equipment and technologies used in nuclear activities, could qualify for the reward.
The offer also covers credible information about uranium enrichment activities and the identities of scientists, technical experts and other key personnel associated with Iran’s nuclear programme.
The US government says eligible informants could receive up to $20 million, depending on the significance and value of the information they provide.
In addition to financial rewards, authorities may arrange secure relocation for individuals who require protection to safeguard their identities and personal security.
Through this initiative, Washington is seeking to strengthen its intelligence-gathering efforts and obtain further information about Iran’s nuclear programme.
