KARACHI: K-Electric has issued a schedule for temporary power outages in various parts of Karachi on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. According to the power utility, electricity supply will be suspended from different feeders at specified times due to scheduled maintenance work.
According to the schedule, the duration of the power outages will vary depending on the area and feeder. In some areas, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8am to 6pm, while in others, the outage is scheduled from 9am to 6pm.
The schedule also includes feeders where power supply is expected to remain suspended from 10am to 10pm.
Areas Expected to Be Affected
According to the list issued by K-Electric, several areas are likely to experience power outages, including Mushar Colony, Mehboob Chamber, Mushar Colony RMU, Nazimabad Post Office, Noman Haven, PAF Chhota Malir, Pak Show, PSO, PTV Housing Society, Raees Amrohi, Safran Engineering, Sakran, Shalimar Ice, Shumail Complex, Technical College, Universal Heights and Urdu College.
Consumers in several other areas may also be affected, including AKHA Khan Trust, Akhtar Colony, Boat View, Kaifi Bangoria, Global City, High-Rise Apartments, Landhi A, Lal Market, Jumma Khan, Kamal Petrol Pump, International Gum and Falak Noor Mosque RMU, among others.
Power Outages of Up to 14 Hours Expected in Some Areas
According to K-Electric’s schedule, the duration of the outage will not be the same across all feeders. In some locations, electricity supply may remain suspended for up to 14 hours, while several other areas will experience outages at different times between morning and evening.
Residents have been advised to plan their daily activities and essential electrical work in advance, keeping the scheduled power outage timings in mind.
