KARACHI: Citizens have started approaching the Judicial Commission directly to assist with the investigation into the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza, with several individuals providing information and potential evidence related to the case.
According to Judicial Commission Registrar Abdul Majid, the commission has so far received five emails and several WhatsApp messages from members of the public containing various pieces of information relevant to the investigation.
The registrar said one citizen had offered to assist the commission with information concerning Mir Raza’s Binance accounts, while another individual shared information regarding alleged digital footprints and an iCloud login.
He further stated that a citizen from Karachi had also identified a person whom they considered suspicious and requested that the individual be included in the scope of the investigation.
The Judicial Commission has assured members of the public that the identities of all those cooperating with the investigation will be kept strictly confidential. The information and digital evidence provided by citizens will be formally handed over to the investigation team for examination and further assessment.
Meanwhile, another development has emerged in Karachi regarding the incident involving the alleged snatching of a journalist’s mobile phone. A response to the show-cause notice issued by the Judicial Commission has been submitted.
The response was submitted to the commission by the father of Dr Usama, who is the alleged accused in the case.
