ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has deported 20 more Chinese nationals in connection with a case involving the alleged sale of immoral content through a call center.
The names of all deported individuals have also been added to Pakistan’s blacklist.
The foreign nationals were reportedly found involved in activities linked to a fake call center and profit scheme. Authorities stated that they had also violated Pakistan’s visa policy.
20 Chinese Nationals Added to Blacklist
According to the FIA, the deported Chinese nationals were sent back after investigations into the call center case. Their inclusion on the blacklist means they will be barred from re-entering Pakistan.
Earlier, 14 Vietnamese nationals had also been deported for violating visa regulations. The latest action is part of a wider crackdown on foreign nationals allegedly involved in unlawful activities in the country.
Court Sentences 34 Accused
It may be recalled here that a court recently sentenced 34 people, including 15 Chinese nationals, following a raid on a suspected fake call center and profit scheme. The accused were sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined Rs100,000 each.
According to sources from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), the two cases involved 15 Chinese nationals and 19 Pakistani nationals.
Raids Conducted in Karachi
Authorities conducted raids in Karachi’s Defence Phase One and Defence Phase Six in 2025 as part of the investigation. The operations targeted individuals allegedly involved in the sale of immoral content and fraudulent profit-related activities through call centers.
The FIA and NCCIA are continuing action against suspects accused of violating Pakistani laws and visa regulations.
