The Gujjarpura police arrested a suspect who raped a girl under the false pretext of marriage in Lahore.
According to the police, the suspect had befriended the victim a few years ago through an online application. Under the guise of meeting her, the suspect came to the victim’s home and subjected her to sexual assault.
When the victim asked for marriage, the suspect threatened her and blocked her phone number.
According to SP Manza Karamat, a case has been registered against the suspect, Arsalan, and he has been handed over to the Gender Cell.
She said that those who exploit women do not deserve any leniency.
Earlier this month, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the Faisal Town area of Lahore after being called on the pretext of a job, according to police.

The suspect, identified as Usman, allegedly targeted the girl after offering her a job opportunity.
Faisal Town police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Police said they expect to arrest the suspect soon.
