Punjab’s Home Department has extended the deadline for arms dealers to upload required information to the online digital inventory registration system by 10 days, setting the new deadline for September 6, 2026.
All registered arms dealers must submit details of their existing stock, along with complete records of firearm and ammunition purchases and sales, through the Punjab Arms Licence Portal.
A department spokesman said the portal would contain comprehensive information about firearms and ammunition held by each dealer, as well as transaction details. Of 413 registered arms dealers across Punjab, 230 have already entered their information into the digital system.
Deputy commissioners are assisting dealers in their respective districts with the registration process. The extension was announced during a training workshop held in Lahore on Tuesday, where more than 350 dealers participated remotely and in person.
Officials said the digital system aims to curb illegal arms trade and help eliminate crime. Dealers who fail to submit their inventories may face legal action, including licence suspension, business sealing and fines.
Home Department officials and Nadra representatives trained participants on using the portal and completing digital inventory registration.
