Two women died in Lahore’s Township area. Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Abdul Karim said that an important development has emerged in the case, revealing that both women died after consuming intoxicating substances.
During a press conference, the Punjab IG said that both women in Township had been using nine different types of intoxicating substances and died of heart attacks. Their deaths at the same time had raised questions about the incident.
The Punjab IG said that the forensic report revealed the actual facts of the case.
Meanwhile, two of the three suspects nominated in the Hina Javed murder case have been arrested. A court has granted a three-day physical remand for both suspects. The IG said the case would be investigated on merit.
According to the Punjab IG, an attempt was made to portray Hina Javed’s murder as a suicide.
He also said there had been significant progress in the case involving the deaths of police personnel. The location of a fugitive terrorist has been traced, and he is expected to be arrested soon.
The IG further said that the investigation into the Abdullah Tahir murder case is also underway. Efforts are being made to bring suspects currently abroad back to Pakistan, after which further investigation will be conducted and legal action will be taken to bring the accused to justice.
