LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif has taken legal action against the English newspaper “Daily Mail” and journalist, David Rose, in London High Court.
Shehbaz Sharif said while pressing charges against the newspaper and the journalist claimed, “The allegations in the article of David Rose were false and baseless.”
He also blamed the prime minister by further saying, “The story was printed in the British newspaper at the order of Imran Khan for political purposes.”
As per the lawyer of the PML-N leader, “Shehbaz Sharif has his reputation, he will clear his name from these ridiculous allegations.”
It all started in July 2019, when the British newspaper alleged the family of Shehbaz Sharif had stolen British aid to Pakistan’s earthquake victims2005.
The newspaper in its claim that the payments taken were transferred to Shahbaz’s children, his wife, and his son-in-law Ali Imran.
