A clash between two groups at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan’s Bahadurabad center in Karachi has reportedly resulted in intense firing, according to sources.
Sources said that party workers became involved in a physical altercation at the center, with the situation escalating from a heated argument into a confrontation.
The incident also reportedly spread to the coordination committee’s room, where senior party members were allegedly involved in a dispute.
The workers were present at the center in connection with preparations for Independence Day celebrations, sources added.
Initial reports suggest that more than a dozen people were injured in the clash. Sources further claimed that the confrontation involved groups associated with Mustafa Kamal and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
Police and Rangers personnel reached the site after receiving reports of the incident. Further details are awaited.
