Following the Kahna tragedy, another tragic incident occurred in Lahore’s Baghbanpura area, where the roof of a private school collapsed during construction work, killing a 10-year-old boy and injuring four laborers.
According to Rescue officials, emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the collapse. Those trapped under the debris were pulled out and shifted to hospital.
Doctors later confirmed the death of 10-year-old Abu Bakr, while the four injured laborers are receiving medical treatment.
The accident occurred while construction work was underway to expand the school. According to officials, the roof suddenly gave way and collapsed.
A summer camp was in progress at the time, with a large number of children present on the premises. Fortunately, all the other children remained safe and were not injured in the incident.
The deceased child was identified as 10-year-old Abu Bakr.
On June 30, a building collapse at a private tuition center in the Kahna area of Lahore which resulted in the death of 14 innocent children.
The incident occurred when a dilapidated roof gave way while dozens of young students were attending classes inside the residential property.
