LOS ANGELES: Grammy-nominated hip-hop producer Tay Keith, who worked with Drake, Travis Scott, Beyonce and Eminem, has died at the age of 29, police confirmed.
He was found dead at his apartment in Nashville, Tennessee during a welfare check. Officials said there were no immediate signs of foul play, but the final cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.
Tay Keith’s real name was Brytavious Chambers. He produced Travis Scott’s hit Sicko Mode and Drake’s Nonstop, earning a Grammy nomination for Sicko Mode.
In 2024 he was nominated again for producing Rich Flex by Drake and 21 Savage. He had also recently worked on Megan Thee Stallion’s album and new projects by Jack Harlow and Travis Scott.
Tributes have poured in from the music industry since the news broke. Rapper BlocBoy JB posted on Instagram that he spoke to Tay Keith every day and was left in shock by his sudden death.
