KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a special gas supply schedule for consumers on Youm-e-Arafa, ensuring uninterrupted supply for Sehri preparations in Karachi and adjoining areas.

According to an official statement issued by the company spokesperson, gas supply will begin from 3:00 am on Tuesday to facilitate citizens observing the fast on Youm-e-Arafa.

The spokesperson said consumers in Karachi and nearby localities would continue to receive uninterrupted gas supply until morning to ensure convenience for households preparing Sehri meals.

The company stated that the move aims to provide maximum relief and comfort to worshippers and fasting citizens observing the sacred occasion.

The announcement comes days after SSGC had temporarily suspended gas supply in several areas of Karachi due to pipeline work near the NIPA Flyover on the BRT route.

Earlier, the utility company had said gas services were affected because of pipeline lowering work being carried out as part of the ongoing infrastructure development project.
