LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Lahore tomorrow on a one-day official visit to chair important meetings.
As per sources, the prime minister will be briefed on the performance of the Punjab government.
During the visit, Imran Khan will meet Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar. He will also meet provincial cabinet members.
Earlier, Khan termed the criticism over Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a “foolish thing”.
According to the prime minister, China helped us and lend us debt is barely 5 or 6 percent of the total portfolio.
He further said that China helped Pakistan with investment and gave the opportunity to attract foreign investment towards it.
Imran Khan further said that when the Chinese came to help Pakistan with this Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and CPEC, our country was in difficult times.
The prime minister said, “So we are very grateful to the Chinese that they came and rescued us.”
