PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided including few women members in the KP cabinet as advisers and ministers.
Female legislators Maliha Akbar, Ayesha Bano, Aisha Naeem, Momina Basit, and Anita Mehsud have been named for their inclusion.
Some prominent members of the ruling political party are making efforts for the inclusion of the women members, however, the number of new members is yet to be announced.
Earlier on 18th January, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai said that there was no crisis or shortage of wheat flour in the province and a 20-kilogram bag of subsidized atta would be provided to the masses at tehsil and district levels.
The minister said KP was giving subsidy on fine flour while Punjab’s fine flour is expensive and he urged people to not eat fine flour.
Shaukat Yousafzai also said that about 164 flour mills were functional in the province while some 63 were closed due to certain reasons and the government wanted to run all the flour mills and provide them wheat at subsidized rates.
