The rates will remain effective until 3pm, after which the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association is expected to announce updated prices.

The price of 22-carat gold has also climbed to a record level, with 10 grams selling at Rs367,780, reflecting sustained demand and rising global prices.

In the local market, 24-carat silver is being sold at Rs8,361 per tola, while 10 grams of silver has reached Rs7,168.

Meanwhile, in the international market, gold is trading at $4,456 per ounce, while silver stands at $78.86 per ounce.

Market experts say the continued rise in domestic gold and silver prices is largely driven by upward movement in global markets, coupled with investor demand for safe-haven assets.
