The inquiry officer in his report found all the allegations against Rana Waqar Ali correct and recommended his dismissal from service.

Based on the report, a show cause notice was issued to Rana Waqar Ali, while the Prime Minister appointed Grade 22 senior officer Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi as the hearing officer.

According to sources, the hearing officer gave the accused officer a full opportunity to come clean.

After completing all legal requirements, the Prime Minister issued an order to dismiss the officer.

Sources say that Rana Waqar Ali has the right to appeal against the dismissal and he can file an appeal with the appellate authority within 30 days.
