Gold prices surge by Rs8,400 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices witnessed another huge surge in Pakistan on Wednesday, in line with a record hike in the prices of the yellow metal in the global market. 

As per the data shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Jems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24 karat gold surged by  Rs 8400 per tola to Rs 425,178, while the rate of 10grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 7202 to Rs 364521.

Similarly, the price of 10grams of 22 karat gold increased by Rs 6602 to Rs 334156. On the global front, the price of the precious metal surged by $ 84 per ounce to a record $4039.

Meanwhile, silver prices also significanlty surged both in the local and international markets. In Pakistan, the price of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 55 per tola to Rs 4984, and the price of 10grams of 24 karat gold reached Rs 4272 after a hike of Rs 74.

In the international market silver price hit $48.80 per ounce following the increase of $0.55.
