A large number of school students were reportedly killed and injured in an explosion near Zero Point in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar confirmed the death of four children and the injury of several others in the explosion, saying that the injured have been shifted to CMH Khuzdar.
The area of the incident is being cordoned off, and evidence is being collected.
According to unconfirmed reports, a bus of the Army Public School was targeted in the blast, while the number of casualties is around 40.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the explosion. In a statement, he expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of four children and extended his condolences to their families.
“The beasts who target innocent children do not deserve any leniency. The enemy demonstrated barbarity by attacking innocent children,” Naqvi asserted.
“The attack on the school bus is a heinous conspiracy of the enemy to create instability in the country. With the unity of the nation, we will foil every conspiracy,” the interior minister vowed. Naqvi also prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

As per the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian sponsored terrorists attacked a school bus. ” Five people, including three students martyred in the attack,” the military media wing added.
“This cowardly attack was executed by the Indian intelligence network using its proxy organisations, targeting innocent school-going children,” the ISPR statement read.
The military condemned the assault in the strongest terms, terming it a blatant example of the Indian government’s “moral degradation and anti-human policies.” The ISPR added that the attack exposes the “disgusting face” of Indian state terrorism and called for international accountability.
“This is a heinous attempt by the Indian state to create instability in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially following their humiliating defeat in Operation Banyan Marsus,” the statement said, referring to a recent military operation where Pakistani forces claimed to have dismantled several terrorist hideouts.
The ISPR vowed that all those involved — including the planners, facilitators, and perpetrators — would be brought to justice.
“Such acts will not deter Pakistan’s resolve. With the backing of the people, the armed forces will eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from every corner of the country,” the statement concluded.
