Pakistan Railways has announced five special trains for Eid-ul-Adha 2025. The move aims to help people avoid crowded trains and travel safely during the busy season.
The special trains will run from June 2 to June 4. The first train will leave Karachi Cantt for Lahore at 1 p.m. on June 2. On June 3, a train will leave Quetta for Peshawar Cantt at 10 a.m., and another will leave Lahore for Karachi Cantt at 5 pm.
That same evening, a train will go from Karachi City to Rawalpindi at 8 pm. The final special train will depart Karachi Cantt for Lahore at 8 pm. on June 4.
Pakistan Railways says some of these trains will use new coaches from workshops, while others will use existing Eid special train sets. The goal is to make travel easier and safer for everyone during Eid ul-Adha.
Aside from the five special trains, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi announced new initiatives aimed at transforming railway stations into more modern, accessible, and people-friendly spaces.
According to the minister, modern-style restaurants will be developed at both stations. These will be outsourced to professional management teams to ensure quality and operational efficiency. “Citizens will be able to visit and enjoy these facilities at any time,” Abbasi said.
