Hollywood actress Margot Robbie is currently transitioning from the soft pink image of her past role as ‘Barbie’ to a completely different persona. This change, along with the recent birth of her first child, likely explains why she did not appear at this year’s Met Gala.
According to details, Margot and her husband Tom Ackerley have been largely out of the spotlight for the past few months, especially after her film “Barbie” made waves globally. In an interview, Robbie mentioned that perhaps people have grown tired of seeing her so often.

The couple attended award ceremonies together at the beginning of 2024, but no new pictures of them surfaced until July, when they were seen vacationing in Lake Como, Italy, during her pregnancy.

Later, in October 2024, she gave birth to their first son. The Met Gala would have been her first red carpet event afterward, but she did not attend. In March 2025, Margot’s first photos emerged when she was seen on the set during the filming of “Wuthering Heights.”
In a 2024 interview, she had said that after completing “Barbie,” she deliberately stepped away from the screen for a while to focus on her production company. She stated, “This is the first time I haven’t been on a film set as an actor for more than a year, and if we exclude the COVID pandemic, it’s truly the first time.”
