ISLAMABAD: An Accountability court has extended the judicial remand of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for 15 days in the LNG case.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was presented by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) before the accountability court in the same case hearing.
AC  judge justice Muhammad Bashir conducted the hearing in which he issued notices to NAB over Miftah Ismail’s exemption pleas and directed to submit arguments on 13th January.
In December 2019, a case in the same case against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was filed.  In this regard, the NAB submitted the reference in an accountability court in Islamabad.
The reference stated that one company received benefits of over Rs21 billion between March 2015 and September of the same year. Additionally, due to the contract, the national funds would suffer a loss of Rs47bn by 2029.
