A female passenger coming from Abu Dhabi slapped a customs officer at Allah Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, on Monday, which led to her arrest by the authorities.
As per details, a scuffle erupted between women passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi and customs officials at Lahore Airport after a dispute over the clearance of bridal lehengas.
The clash began when the customs staff stopped the women over unclear lehenga items, leading to shouting, physical assault, and chaos in the arrival area.
Eyewitnesses and sources revealed that a female passenger slapped a customs officer, prompting retaliation.
CCTV footage is said to have captured the brawl, where a female customs officer pulled a passenger by the hair, while another passenger reportedly struck officers with a shoe.
The female passenger involved in the slapping was taken into custody by customs personnel, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
Customs officials stated that the altercation stemmed from the passengers’ resistance to customs clearance procedures for their belongings.
Authorities have confirmed that a case has been registered, and the matter is under legal investigation.
