ISLAMABAD: A special Anti-Narcotics court has adjourned the hearing of son of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani, Ali Musa Gilani, in the ephedrine case till 17th January.
The duty judge of the court Wajid Ali conducted the hearing where the lawyer of the accused presented exemption from the court’s appearance from today’s hearing, which was accepted by the court.
As per reports from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Ali Musa Gilani allocated 6,500kg and 2,500kg of ephedrine to Berlex Lab International, Multan, and Danas Pharma (Pvt) Ltd, Islamabad, respectively, for export to Iraq and Afghanistan in 2011.
His father, Yousaf Raza Gillani who has been indicted in the illegal advertisement contracts case will be presented in the court on 13th January. He misused his position to illegally grant an advertising contract, inflicting a loss of Rs129.07 million to the national exchequer.
