Riots broke out near a mosque in Mhow district of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, after India’s victory in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai on Sunday night. Several vehicles were set on fire during the riots.

According to media reports, the people took out a rally to celebrate India’s victory, which got out of control after a while.
The report said that a rally celebrating India’s victory was passing near the Jama Masjid in Mhow when some people nearby started pelting stones at them. This led to a clash between the two groups, in which several vehicles and two shops were set on fire.
Locals said that as soon as the victory rally reached near the Jama Masjid, a group started pelting stones at them, which caused chaos and they were forced to abandon their motorcycles and run away.
According to media reports, after the clash broke out, police were sent to the area to control the situation.
Area SP Hatika Vasal said: “Tension arose between the two groups, and some violent incidents took place after India’s victory. The matter started with firecrackers, the situation is now completely under control. We have enough security personnel, and we are patrolling the area. The incident will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.”
