Gold prices in Pakistan surged to an all-time high, with the local market seeing an increase of Rs3,800, bringing the price to a record Rs308,000 on Wednesday.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also saw a rise, reaching Rs264,060 after a Rs3,258 increase.
Tuesday saw the gold price per tola climb by Rs1,000, settling at Rs304,200.
Internationally, the price of gold also rose on Wednesday. As per APGJSA, it reached $2,944 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $34 increase for the day.

On Friday, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan had previously reached Rs306,200, which was the then-all-time high.
In addition, the price of silver increased by Rs90, settling at Rs3,440 per tola.
