A major sexual harassment scandal has come to light in Malakand University, as a result of which a professor was arrested and obscene videos of female students recovered from his possession.
According to Levie sources, action was taken against Pakistan Studies Professor Abdul Haseeb at Baizai police station on the report of a female student.
According to Levies officials, the arrested professor will be presented in court on February 18, while a case has been registered against him under relevant provisions. Sources say that a large number of obscene videos and photos of female students have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to sources, the university and district administration tried to suppress the scandal. No official statement regarding the scandal has been issued by the University so far.
Moreover, more sensational revelations related to the scandal are expected. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, an inquiry committee headed by the Chief Secretary has been formed to investigate the incident.
