Rhea Chakraborty has made a public return with a podcast series titled Chapter 2. Over recent weeks, she has hosted prominent guests like Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Aamir Khan, and Sushmita Sen.
According to a report by Indian Express, the latest guest on her podcast was singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, who discussed his struggles with mental illness. They talked about the importance of understanding the severity of bipolar disorder and raising awareness about it.
During their conversation, Rhea shared her experience of being in jail after the death of her boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. She mentioned how the police thanked her for educating them on mental health issues.
In the discussion with Honey Singh, Rhea mentioned, “I’ve seen bipolar disorder up close. Watching you share your experience deeply moved me. It’s such a personal illness, and many don’t survive it long enough to talk about it. It’s important for a superstar like you to openly discuss it, especially since mental health awareness is still low in India.”
Honey Singh agreed and explained the severity of his experience, where he reached a point where he believed he was going to die and that his family had disappeared, with everyone around him seeming like impostors.

Rhea expressed concern for him, recalling her own time in jail, where she was held in solitary confinement and had limited interactions with a couple of women watching over her. During this time, she spoke a lot about mental health and explained it to the women.

One woman later came to Rhea’s bail hearing, thanking her for helping her understand that her husband likely suffered from bipolar disorder. This experience made Rhea believe that her time in jail had a greater purpose, especially in raising awareness about mental illness.

In 2020, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges related to drugs, in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, who tragically died by suicide.
