Days after comedian Sunil Pal revealed he was kidnapped, Stree 2 actor Mushtaq Khan shared a similar harrowing experience. Mushtaq was invited to an event in Meerut, where he was reportedly kidnapped despite receiving advance payment and flight tickets for the event.
According to his business partner Shivam Yadav, the kidnappers held Mushtaq captive for 12 hours, demanding a ransom of ₹1 crore. They eventually forced him to transfer ₹2 lakh from his and his son’s accounts. Mushtaq managed to escape after hearing the morning azaan, believing he was close to a mosque.
Shivam told India Today, “Mushtaq sir and his family were deeply shaken by the incident. He decided to file an FIR after regaining composure. I went to Bijnor yesterday and officially filed the complaint. We have evidence, including flight tickets, bank transactions, and CCTV footage near the airport. Mushtaq also remembers the neighborhood and the house where he was held. The police are working to apprehend the culprits.”
This comes shortly after comedian Sunil Pal reported a similar ordeal. Sunil claimed he was invited to Haridwar for an event, where he was kidnapped. The kidnappers demanded ₹20 lakh but settled for ₹7.5 lakh after negotiations.
Sunil told Times of India that he initially trusted the invitation, as he had received an advance payment and a car to pick him up from Delhi airport. However, after reaching Meerut, a group of men transferred him to another vehicle and threatened him with a poison-filled injection.
The kidnappers later gave Sunil ₹20,000 to book a flight back to Mumbai. He filed an FIR at Santacruz Police Station upon his return.
