KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise on Saturday, reaching an all-time high of Rs272,500 per tola, driven by increasing international rates.
The price of 10-gram gold also climbed to Rs233,625, reflecting a Rs429 increase, as per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Friday, the gold price had already risen by Rs3,500, settling at Rs272,000 per tola. Internationally, gold prices also surged on Saturday, with APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,622 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $10 gain for the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola. On Friday, gold had already hit its previous record high of Rs272,000 per tola in Pakistan.
