Two computers valued at millions of rupees were stolen from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The Director of IT at the court filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Secretariat police station, leading to an immediate investigation. According to the FIR, the stolen items included CPUs and LCDs worth Rs600,000.
Following the FIR, police arrested Zahid Iqbal, a suspect identified in CCTV footage. Iqbal, who worked as a driver for the Secretary to the Chief Justice, was allegedly involved in suspicious activities.
Another suspect, Faisal Khan, a Naib Qasid (junior employee) at the court, is also implicated in the theft. The police are conducting raids to apprehend Faisal Khan, who remains at large, according to Daily Ausaf.
This incident has raised concerns about the security of sensitive information at the Supreme Court.
