Warner Bros has officially closed the Cartoon Network website, redirecting users to a landing page on the subscription-streaming service, Max.
According to a report from Variety, the closure appears to be a cost-cutting measure. The new page encourages fans to subscribe to Max to access their favorite Cartoon Network shows and highlights the option to create a Kid’s Profile, which offers age-appropriate content and privacy settings for a safe viewing experience.

A Cartoon Network spokesperson told Variety, “We are focusing on Cartoon Network shows and social media, where we see the most consumer engagement and significant growth potential.” Despite the website’s shutdown, Cartoon Network will continue to air 11 hours of programming daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on TV.
Earlier, the website provided full episodes, clips, and free games for popular shows like Adventure Time, Craig of the Creek, The Amazing World of Gumball, Teen Titans GO!, Steven Universe, We Bare Bears, and Clarence. This decision follows a month after the network addressed rumors about its potential closure.
