The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Sunday announced that the MDCAT-2024 exam will take place nationwide on September 22, 2024, including in Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad.
This exam is required for admission to both public and private medical and dental universities. Students can begin registering on PMDC’s official website starting August 5.
The paper-based exam will be conducted simultaneously in six regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Abbottabad, Swat, and Dir Lower, as directed by both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government and PMDC.
A special meeting led by Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq, Vice Chancellor of KMU, was held to review these guidelines and ensure their effective implementation. The meeting focused on the directives from PMDC and the Provincial Government, stressing the need for meticulous planning and execution to maintain high standards of transparency.
The Vice Chancellor also discussed the necessary arrangements, logistics, and timelines, seeking input and suggestions to ensure a successful and equitable MDCAT-2024 examination.
