Like other parts of Pakistan, complete official results in Karachi are yet to be announced. However, so far, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released results for five National Assembly seats out of the 22 seats in Karachi.
According to the ECP results, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is leading with victories on three seats. MQM-P has won one NA seat from the city, while an independent candidate has also emerged victorious.
PPP candidate Jam Abdul Kareem secured victory in NA-229 with 55,732 votes. PPP candidate Aagha Rafiullah won NA-230 by receiving 32,072 votes, and another PPP candidate, Abdul Hakeem Baloch, secured victory in NA-231 with 43,634 votes.
MQM-P candidate Asia Ishaq won NA-232, securing 88,260 votes. An independent candidate backed by PT, Muhammad Haris, is leading in NA-233.
Karachi has 22 National Assembly seats and more than 40 Sindh Assembly seats. Different parties, including JI and MQM-P, are claiming victory on various NA and PA seats in Karachi. However, the official results for these constituencies are yet to be announced by the ECP.
PTI-backed candidates are leading in NA-235, NA-236, NA-237, and NA-238 while PPP is leading in NA-239.
