Born and raised in Canada, Perry attended elementary school with Justin Trudeau, who later became Canadian prime minister.
He then later as a teenager moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor. In the late 1980s, he starred as Chazz Russell in Boys Will Be Boys and as Roger alongside Christina Applegate in the teen movie Dance ‘Til Dawn.
However, it was not his first role but it was the role of Chandler Bing from ‘Friends’, that catapulted Perry to global fame.
The quick-witted Chandler was famous for his sarcastic one-liners, and the role earned Perry a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2002.
